Le Argille is located in Strada in Chianti, a 20-minute ride from Florence. Perched on a hilltop, this former Buddhist and yoga retreat in the heart of Tuscany was fully renovated in 2011 by the Fiumi family, with Architect Giovanni Cini. The mission was to preserve the old characteristics of the casa colonica (country house) while modernizing certain aspects to adapt to a modern lifestyle.

There are three structures on the property that can house 12 people or more in total. The main one, known as the Villa, has four bedrooms, five bathrooms, two living rooms, a dining room and an elevator. There are two fireplaces, each with reclaimed wood and terracotta tiles. The oven, located at the heart of the house, was once used to cook bread for the town. It has been fully restored to cook excellent pizza or schiacciata and is now part of a kitchen with modern, high-tech, restaurant-quality Viking appliances that include a steam oven. There is floor heating under the reclaimed tiles.
